The Shahanshah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan is the latest Indian celebrity to join the crypto industry. The Bollywood megastar has signed a deal with one of India’s popular crypto exchanges CoinDCX, as its brand ambassador.
The aim of this partnership is to educate and raise awareness about cryptocurrency among Indians.
CoinDCX will be organizing these awareness campaigns in India not only to promote cryptos but to tell people that it is a safe asset class for investment.
In a public statement released by the crypto trading platform, it stated, “Through Mr. Bachchan, CoinDCX wants to convey that it is at the forefront when it comes to the safety of its users and being compliant with all the regulations. In addition, the brand aims to educate prospective users about the crypto space.”
For the past few years, the Indian crypto industry has been growing exponentially, there are millions of early adopters of the crypto asset class.
Presently, the value of the crypto market is over $2 trillion and as new Indian investors are entering the market, the speculation is being made that it will grow more, in the coming years.
The Bollywood celebrity has always supported the new things in the market, whether it is digital or crypto. He even became the first A-lister artist from Bollywood, who decided to launch his own limited edition NFTs.
A few months ago, it was announced that Mr. Bachchan collaborated with BeyondLife.club to issue a limited edition of unique Amitabh Bachchan artworks as NFTs.
While talking about his company’s collaboration with Bachchan, Sumit Gupta, the co-founder of CoinDCX, said, “We are honored to have Mr. Bachchan as our brand ambassador. Notably, the Indian megastar is also the face of RBI campaigns, where he informs people to be aware of fraud schemes by promoting safe and secure transaction hygiene.
Bachchan has appeared in many of the advertisements of RBI to inform people about protected transactions, how they could safe for them. One of the advertisements is accompanied by a message of staying aware and cautious.
