Polygon, the scaling solution for Ethereum, has launched a new subsidiary company called Polygon Studios to enhance its operation in blockchain gaming and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The aim of the newly introduced company is to establish Polygon’s position as the leader in decentralized gaming, develop a brand name to attract more developers and investors to its NFT ecosystem; and present Polygon as the best venue for transitioning to Web 3.0.
The company would be introducing two initiatives called Polygon Gaming Studio and Polygon NFT Studio. The former initiative would allow the developers to create and market decentralized games, while the latter would help the brand and intellectual property owners to issue customized digital collectibles and marketplaces.
On July 19, the company released a public statement, mentioning, “With the launch of Polygon Studios, games get 360-degree building support, big brands and much-loved franchises can launch on Polygon, and gamers can enjoy a whole new world of play to earn opportunities and decentralized gaming.”
According to the reports, in a very short span of time, Polygon became one of the more developer-friendly platforms of the blockchain industry.
In May 2021, a total of 75,000 new users joined the platform in just a seven-day period. This platform is considered to be a source of major collaboration around decentralized applications.
