Mike Winkelman, who is popular digital artist Beeple, has joined hands with Polygon to introduce a new NFT platform called WENEW in India.
A few months ago, Winkleman sold his NFT artwork for $69 million through an NFT marketplace Christie’s.
Recently, while releasing a public statement, Beeple specified that WENEW is a website which would be selling the iconic historical moments as an NFT. Further, he mentioned, these moments will be described as a ‘memory of them metaverse,’ including politics, music, fashion and sports.
As per the reports, Polygon will be introducing the highly anticipated NFT platform and offerings of WENEW.
It is to be noted that on July 2, 2021, WENEW will issue an NFT collection of Andy Murray’s Wimbledon victory in 2013.
Further, it has been announced that WENEW has collaborated with the Open Earth Foundation to donate a portion of each purchase to proceed with its operation.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that the NFT ecosystem of Polygon is growing very fast, for quite a long time. By far, the Polygon network has over 150 NFTdApps and a robust NFT infrastructure.
Polygon has mentioned that NFTs created on its network are usually environmentally friendly and therefore, they leave low carbon footprints of themselves.
Polygon’s environmentally friendly network makes it the best scaling solution for the WENEW platform. The network will help the NFT platform to be aware of the environmental impact of its high circulation NFTs.
